Intensive Week

Last week I was in the small town of Bad Bruckenau for a four-day long workshop, which is the first one in the Siemens Management Programm that I am having this year. All the usual stuff, role based games, scenarios, exersises in leading and following, discussions, presentations etc were taken out of the box and let loose on us in a very compact time-schedule. Even though the programm was very well packed, we had in my opinion a very well balanced group (29 participants) and also had a lot of fun, which is very important for the networking during these kind of weeks.

The next workshop will be in September, when I just return from the diving instructor examinations in Teneriffa, so that will probably be a shock Till that time we have to prepare an assignment on innovation at an academic level, as well as prepare the project we will be working on the coming year. Something with cost cutting in a south-european country, I was lucky enough to get a very cool assingment.....
and now, no people arround me anymore, relax and get some rest

Weekend

Finally we have a weekend here in Germany where the weather is the way it should be. For that last couple of weeks we always had good weather during the week, very nice to see from your office window, and when the weekend came the weather changed.

Take last weekend, we were with our diving Club at the Attersee where we had the open water examination of five of our students. Although the weather was not that bad, it was not sunny nor warm But the diving was great, for the first time I had the opportunity to complete all 5 examination dives with 2 Students, and it amazed me how well everything went. Somehow I guess that all that learning and training did bring something If you look at my divelog (see the menu above) you will see 20 short dives, because we had 4 people that did all 5 exam-dives, and the standard dive time is 15 minutes. Longer is also not that enjoyable, because of the cold water... I want my dry-suit

Yesterday I went shopping in Erlangen and prepared for the summer, got myself 2 new shirts and discovered again that shopping has very different meanings, depending who is using the word (I went with Manu ... After that I went to a Party of a friend of mine, who I met in India (see photo, the one in the middle) and he had a big I-am-30-Party... also very nice to see some people again.... but when I came home again around 3am I was so dead tired....that explains the relaxed sunday Today.
