Today's cooking opportunity : Vegan banana cake, here's the recipe - I let you know how it went:
Vegan banana cake with almonds
This vegan banana cake is very easy to make and so soft and moist that everyone will love it.
Recipe vegan banana cake with almonds for a 10 inch square baking pan
300 g (10.5 oz.) wheat flour
200 g (7 oz.) sugar
3 ripe bananas, finely sliced
125 g (4.2 fl. oz.) vegetable oil
100 g (3.5 oz.) slivered almonds
50 g (1.8 oz.) dark vegan chocolate, chopped
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla essence
400 ml (13.5 fl. oz.) coconut milk
Preheat the oven to 200°C / 390°F and line a baking pan with parchment paper. Give all ingredients into the bowl of the kitchen machine. In the beginning mix on low speed, then mix on highest speed until fluffy. Pour into the baking pan and bake for approximately 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and let stand in the pan for 10 minutes. Then let cool on a wire rack. Powder the cake with icing sugar.
